The Three R's
September 27–November 18, 2016 & January 24–May 4, 2017
10–11:30am or 12:30–2pm
Learn about the importance of education for children living in the Lower Mainland by spending time in our 1922 one-room schoolhouse. Our costumed school teacher seats students in antique desks, teaches lessons in reading, writing and ‘rithmetic and leads old-fashioned school yard games. Students compare daily life for children living in the 1920s with their own experience, and examine how some aspects have changed while others have stayed the same.
