Getting Here

Burnaby Village Museum is accessible by vehicle or public transit.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Museum lot. Please note that parking is limited, so we recommend planning ahead to make your visit as smooth as possible.

To make things easier, view our parking options map [PDF - 46 KB] showing public parking options in the area. In addition, from December 14-January 3 from 12:30-9:30 pm, there will be a convenient pickup and drop-off spot located across the street from the carousel gate entrance along Deer Lake Avenue.

Here are some parking tips to help you out:

  • Come early: Arriving early can help you beat the traffic and find a good parking spot.
  • Carpool: Share the ride with friends and family to reduce the number of cars.
  • Public transit: Consider taking public transit to avoid parking hassles.

Please be mindful of our neighbours by not parking or blocking their driveways. And remember to be patient and kind with our parking staff during busy times. Thank you for your cooperation!

Entrances

Our main entrance and parking lot is located on Deer Lake Avenue near Canada Way and Sperling. You can also enter through the Carousel Entrance on Deer Lake Avenue across from the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.

Accessibility

Most of the facilities meet wheelchair accessibility standards for ground floors, including washrooms in the Orientation Plaza, Carousel Pavilion and Tram Barn.

A paved roadway connects the buildings on the historic grounds, and benches are located throughout the site where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

A wheelchair is available on loan from the Orientation Plaza.
