When are you open?

Burnaby Village Museum is open seasonally. Check out our Hours and Rates for a complete schedule.

How much is admission?

Admission is free for all visitors. To ride the carousel, tickets can be purchased on site for $2.62 + tax.

Is the carousel open?

 The carousel is open during Spring Break, Summer Season and Heritage Christmas. The carousel is closed during Haunted Village.

Who can ride the carousel?

Where can I buy carousel ride tickets?

Carousel ride tickets can be purchased for $2.62 + tax each at the front gates or at carousel gift shop.

You can also purchase the Bakers Dozen (13 rides) for $31.45 + tax.

Prices include tax.

Are dogs/other pets allowed?

Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not permitted within the site.

Can I buy or use my membership?

Ride the carousel to your heart's content, enjoy discounts at the gift shop and access to special Members Only events by becoming a member at Burnaby Village Museum.

Is there food on site?

Mai’s Café is open Tuesdays to Saturdays and statutory holidays from 11 am-4 pm.

How do I get to the village museum?

Burnaby Village Museum is accessible by vehicle or transit. Learn more on parking, directions and accessibility on our Getting Here page.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available in the Museum lot. Please note that parking is limited, so we recommend planning ahead to make your visit as smooth as possible.

Are masks mandatory?

Wearing masks in public indoor settings is not required by public health. Wearing a mask is a personal choice. 

Is the site wheelchair accessible?

Nearly every facility at the Museum is wheelchair accessible. A paved pathway connects the buildings on the historic grounds. 

Do you accept monetary donations?

Cash donations are accepted at the main entrance.

Do you accept artifact donations?

If you wish to make a donation to our collection, please set up a meeting with the Museum's curatorial staff by contacting our administration team at 604-297-4565.

Can I bring and eat my own food?

Picnics are encouraged! We just ask that you enjoy your food outside any exhibits and the Mai's Café.

Can I take wedding or proposal photos at Burnaby Village Museum?

The Museum serves as a stunning backdrop for wedding or engagement photos, but we ask that you contact our Booking Clerk to arrange a time for your photo shoot. Call our administration team at 604-297-4565 for more information.

Is the site mostly outdoors?

Although patrons are welcome to explore the interiors of many of our exhibits, most of the Museum is outdoors.
